Book Review & Giveaway!

My good friend, Sharon Silverman, has written another book: "Crochet Scarves: Fabulous Fashions, Various Techniques". Sharon's books always have excellent step by step photos and lots of great tips. This book is no exception. In this book, you can experiment with a varitety of techniques, including tunisian, broomstick lace and many more, but in small projects to get a lot of practice and instant gratification!

Check out Sharon's website for more information and photo galleries of the projects in the book. Or click on the link above for ordering information!

Leave a message below telling me which crochet technique you'd like to learn before the summer is over. I'll pick one winner randomly next week to win a copy of this book!

I would love to learn tunisian crochet before the end of the summer. The book sounds wonderful having small projects to really learn the craft! Can't wait to go and take a look at it!

I would so love to learn Tunisian lace. I like the idea of loose Tunisian stitches. Something a bit different.

I'd just love to learn to crochet - so many gorgeous knitting patterns feature crochet in some way that I really need to teach myself, but can never seem to get the hang of it.

I would love to learn Broomstick Lace before the end of the Summer. It is such a beautiful technique & I love the idea of simple projects when learning new things. Your Cables & Lace Broomstick Hat is on my "to do" list. It would be fun to have a matching scarf as well.

I'd love to learn hairpin lace by the end of the summer. I've had your Tranquil Lace Hairpin Tunic in my Rav queue for quite some time. I have the yarn, I just need to learn the technique.

I would like to learn tunisian and broomstick lace stitches before the summer ends. I was unable to take a class at the summer Chain Link conference because they were all sold out. But could easily do so with Sharon's book since I am a visuaal learner - as well as a left handed crocheter. I would love to be a winner of her new book. Thanks for hosting this drawing!

I would like to perfect my tunisian technique and I am also currently "learning" to work with lace weight yarn, both i'd like to use in some sort of shawl, starting this fall.
