Whether you knit or crochet, come to the new workshop I'm teaching on broomstick lace. Its an easy to learn technique for a lacy fabric, using both a large knitting needle (or dowel) and a medium-sized crochet hook. If you already know how to chain and single crochet, great! You'll be on your way in a few minutes. If you are learning the simple chain and single crochet, we'll have you sailing along with broomstick lace before the class is over!
You will need some (dk to light, worsted weight) yarn, a US 8 (5mm) crochet hook and a US15 (10mm) knitting needle to learn this easy, yet lacey, crochet technique. Bring a little yarn for a swatch, or bring a lot of yarn for a shawl. Its all up to you. Once you learn this technique, you'll be amazed at how fast you can create a fabric with gorgeous, lacey drape.
The workshop will be at Have You Any Wool? in Berkley, Michigan on Wednesday, March 28 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. Please call the yarn shop at (248) 541-WOOL to save your spot. I hope to see you there!
