Lexie Barnes Kitty Circular Needle Case

211509-711415-thumbnail.jpgI've been on a mission to find the perfect case to carry my circular knitting needles. I have the Denise Interchangeable Kit, and while there IS a time and a place for my Denise needles, I love my Addi Turbos. I have a pretty good sized collection of Addis at this point, and have been searching for a proper 'tool box' for my tools for some time now. A couple of years ago, Clara Parks, of Knitters Review, recommended a soft lure fishing tackle box for circulars. I followed suit quickly and bought a Field and Stream binder. While it worked, I was embarrassed to leave the house with my 'tool box'. I certainly couldn't take it with to teach a workshop. So, I continued to carry my needles onsie-twosie and misplaced them, and re-purchased them, and misplaced them, etc...

This past January, I visited the Lexie Barnes booth at TNNA San Diego. At long last, I've found THE circular knitting needle case: The Lexie Barnes Kitty. It measures a compact 5" x 15" when closed, but when I ope211509-711417-thumbnail.jpgn the dual zippered case, I find 10 roomy pockets for circulars, plus an extra zippered pocket for stitch markers and other incidentals. The fabric is water-resistant with protective padding, And Lexie adds a complimentary pack of index cards for easy labeling of the pockets. I wrote my needle sizes in pencil, just in case I decide to reorganize.

For my smaller needles (like the US3s) I can fit two sets of circulars in one pouch. That works up to around US7s or US8s. These needles need their own pouches.  I filled my case, with the exeption of only a couple of pouches. I guess its time to buy more needles!
