Finally! I've been working on and talking about this idea for a long time. Well, here it is. I'm still toying with the idea of putting sleeves on it, too. I'm working on sleeves now, and will post pictures with the sleeve option soon.
In the meantime, here is the sleeveless wrap:

I used Knit Picks Merino Style yarn in color dusk. The back is knit from the center out in a flower medallion. The fronts are knit from the top down and wrapped with long i-cords. The neckline has a shawl collar and the bottom has a ribbed ruffle.

As always, comments, questions and contribution are very welcome. Happy Knitting!

Best regards,

Kristin

Woven Plaid Alpaca Pillow Cover

Pillow02_sm.jpgPlymouth Yarn makes a 3-ply sport alpaca yarn that comes in many natural colors. I bought a bulk/discount box of cones of this yarn a few months ago. I chose 4 shades of gray (light to dark) and 4 shades of brown (light to dark), and made  a knit and crochet, woven plaid pillow cover. The one shown in the picture is 24" x 24", which is a very large pillow. We use it for snuggling up to watch TV at night. It is so soft, and has a really great texture.

Lacy Cape with Leather Toggle Closures

See full sized image in Photo Gallery
Here is a new item in my Fall 2005 Collection: a lacy cape with raglan shaped shoulders and leather toggle closures. This sample was knit in a homespun, mohair and wool blend yarn. It is navy blue with a couple of brown flecks that give it a tweedy texture when knit up. Unfortunately, it was a discontinued yarn, but I feel that either Manos del Uruguay or Malabrigo Yarn would be great substitutes. The pattern will have specific recommendations for substitution.
